Milo is 3 weeks old now!

And this morning, John finished the playset.

More Introductions

John's parents got to meet Milo last week.

They came to Utah for Elizabeth's graduation,

and were able to help John with the playset,

and to spend some time with our family.
Here's Milo getting to know his Grandpa.

Here's the progress on the playset as of Friday evening.
It rained all weekend, so John and the kids
haven't been able to do any work since then.

This was taken shortly after Milo's birth.

It's kind of out of order, but I decided that I want

to include it in my Project 52.

Two Weeks Old

Milo is two weeks old now!

This is how he spends most of his time - sleeping.

He had his two week well check this morning,

and he's now up to 9 lbs, 6 oz.

Meanwhile, the other kids have been busy helping their Dad

put together a new play set in the backyard.
It's a huge project - but progress IS being made. :)

Jonah, Ruby, and I made these cookies today.

Ruby is still very excited about Milo.

If she sees me without him, she immediately sets off

to find him. We have to be very careful.

Jonah and Maxwell like to rub Milo's head and to

hold him every now and again.

Bentley likes to hold Milo and to sing to him.

What a lucky little guy to have so many people love him. :)

Friday

My parents went home this evening.
Things are slowly going to get back to "normal,"
and I'm a little nervous. :)

The kids had a great time with Grandma and Pa -

they played games, watched movies, and read books.

I enjoyed resting and spending time with Milo.
Ruby is dressing herself these days.
It's always fun to see what she comes up with.

Here's today's ensemble.

Most of the snow has melted, and she didn't go
outside, so she didn't freeze.
(Did you notice that she's wearing a tutu in the
photo from yesterday? Outside in the snow, in a tutu.
She came back inside really cold.)

Milo is a sweet baby.
He's been very patient with all of the "loving"
his brothers, and especially his sister,
have given him.

I'm planning to get around to his birth story and
a post about his name . . . eventually.

More Milo

Yesterday Laura and Ella came to visit us!

We were so glad to see Laura, and to meet her little girl.

Ruby was especially excited to meet another of "her" babies.
Here's a shot of Ella and our sleepy Milo.

And here's Milo today - 5 days old!

My parents are here this week, so I'm getting to rest
while they entertain the older kids.
Bentley and Maxwell are home for spring break
this week, so we don't have anywhere to go.
It's really nice. :)

Introductions

Miss Ruby meets HER BABY for the first time.

The boys had to wait until we got home yesterday to meet their brother.

Still Here

I'm sure the last thing anyone wants to see is another

picture of my pregnant self. Sorry. :)

Maybe you can focus on Ruby's sassy face instead.

Despite this huge baby bump, first thing this morning,

Jonah asked me if I'd had the baby.

(apparently he had a dream that the baby had been born)

Then, as I greeted Bentley after school,

he casually asked, "So, did you have the baby today?"
No.

Maybe tomorrow???

Sunshine!

We were so happy to have the sun shining today!

(Bentley says that the sun is always shining,

sometimes we can't see it because of the clouds.)
Regardless - we could SEE the sun, and

the kids actually spent some time outside this afternoon.

Bentley relaxed in a camp chair with his feet up;

Ruby claimed her favorite swing;

and Jonah and Maxwell fought bad guys

(the same thing they do inside every day).

This is me with the White Jungle Fury Power Ranger,

otherwise known as Bentley. We used the self-timer. :)

Add Another One . . .

. . . to the list of things I never imagined I'd have to say.

Every once in a while, the kids will do something

that is so strange I would never have thought

to tell them NOT to do it in the first place.

Yesterday I added another odd statement to the ever growing list:

"Don't color your TEETH with crayons."

And they look at me like they can't understand
what's wrong with ME.

In other news, I haven't had the baby. :)
The "due date" is not quite a week away.
I'm hoping the baby comes before my
doctor leaves for Spring Break with her
family next Friday. (fingers crossed)
