Idaho Day 2 - "relaxing"

Bentley, Maxwell, and Jonah have been training for a 

kids' marathon. Because Bentley spent a week at Scout

Camp, he needed to run while we were in Idaho to

get all of his miles in before the race. After Heise we took

him over to the track at my high school. I was happy

to see that the goal posts were orange! (We share a field

with our crosstown rivals, and the team that wins the annual

football game - The Emotion Bowl - gets to paint the goalposts.)

It's cool to see the layers and layers of paint, although

it looks like there have been way too many blue coats.

Back at Grandma and Pa's house, 

Alton and Kristie got to know one another.

Bentley played catch with Pa and Mikey,

and Milo showed off his pitching skills.
Ruby got to spend the night at her cousins' house!

John, Milo, Alton, and I stopped by the grocery store

on our way to the hotel for some snacks

and a ball (so the boys would have something to do

besides play with the radio and jump on the beds).

Idaho Day 2 - Big Juds

Event we had to tear ourselves away from the hot springs

to get something to eat. We went to lunch at Big Juds 

in Ashton, Idaho. The kids had heard of it, but had never

been. The boys were especially excited to try it out.

Alton fell asleep on the way from Heise, so John stayed in

the car with him so he could get something of a nap.

After some yummy burgers and fries we got ice cream!

The Huckleberry ice cream was delicious.

Alton must have heard someone mention ice cream,

because he woke up in time to eat most of Milo's. 

Speaking of Milo, he quickly fell asleep and napped

all the way back to my parents' house.

Idaho Day 2 - Heise Hot Springs Slide Pictures

On day two, we went to Heise Hot Springs!

It has been a favorite spot for the H family for years,

and two years ago we took the kids for the first time.

They loved the dragon slide and the hot pools.

Thanks Grandma and Pa! We had a great time!

Milo was glad to have Mikey back from Alabama.

Alton wasn't sure about the slide after his first time

down with Mom, but he pointed to the stairs like he

wanted to go again. He might have thought he wanted

to, but he didn't really enjoy his second slide. Poor guy.

The hot pools were great  - especially for Milo.

He couldn't stop shivering in the regular pool and on the slide.

Pa, Grandma, and John didn't slide, but the rest of the grownups

took turns helping the little people. I tried to get pictures

of everyone. Here are the awesome slide pictures. :)
