William!

Laura, Charles, and Ella just welcomed

this little guy into their family.

We are so glad he made it here safely and are excited

for another cousin! Hooray!

We can't wait to meet little William.

Updates: Jonah

Jonah and the Blue Sharks are having a great season.

They are just over halfway finished, and Jonah counts

most of their games as wins. As long as he's happy, right?

Today I got to go to school for the monthly "sing-in."

Jonah and a few other classmates helped their teacher lead

the school in the "Peanut Butter and Jelly" song.  

He looked like he was having a great time.

After the sing-in, we went back to his classroom for

show and tell and cookies. Then, we got to leave school early!

I am so glad that it's the weekend!

Updates: Ruby

Ruby has been asking for a playdate since school

started. On Wednesday, she got to play with her

friend, Noah, before lunch. Then, after lunch

three of her Joy School friends from last year 

came over. They dressed up and had a great time.

Ruby started dance class yesterday. She chose her

dancing clothes - a black dress over a pink leotard.

There were several girls from last year's class, and a new teacher.

Hopefully it will be a fun year of dance for our girl.

And here is Ruby with one of our sweet neighbors. 

She came to school today, and

they read books, colored pictures, and ate cookies together.

Updates: Milo

Milo loves "yemonade." 

As treats for good behavior while we were

shopping, I bought Ruby and Milo each their

own pink lemonade. We offered to pour

Milo's into a cup so he wouldn't spill it all, but

he declined. Not long after that, he dropped his

"yemonade" on the ground. This is how it landed:

One week ago, Milo and I started our music class

with our friends. Milo wasn't sure about it the first

time we went, but did a bit better yesterday.

Hopefully it will become something he really enjoys.

Updates: Bentley and Maxwell

A couple of weeks ago, Bentley and Maxwell's school classes

went to the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival. I went along

as a chaperon for Bentley's class. They listened to two junior

tellers, and then Waddie Mitchell. Donald Davis was the last

teller for that session, and he had the kids rolling with laughter.

It was so fun to watch the boys faces light up.

Last week at Pack Meeting Bentley and Maxwell both

got awards. Maxwell had earned his Wolf Award,

and Bentley got his Webelos Award.

Greg took Jonah to his soccer game (same time as Pack Meeting),

so John got to come to Pack Meeting to confer with the boys

in the Wolf Den and the Webelos Tee-pee. 

September Five (on the 9th)

Having four kids in school is hard. I feel like we spend

all of our time either going to and from the schools or

doing homework, homework, and more homework.

It's slightly overwhelming. But here is my "five" post,

better late than never, right?

Updates: 

Bentley - Seems to be doing really well in his new school - if

he could only remember to bring his homework home. sigh.

He has lots of friends and has dropped his fancy clothes for

shorts and t-shirts every day. He says it is too hot for jeans.

Maxwell - He is one brave little boy. He is making friends in his

new school and doing well in class. I hope good things continue 

to happen for him. He went to a birthday party for a kid in his

new class and made several new friends. He's a champ.

Jonah - He made two goals at his soccer game yesterday!

He tends to dribble the ball into the goal rather than shoot it,

but it's  a goal either way, right? He seems happy with his class

at school, but says he likes playing with the 3rd graders at

recess instead of his fellow second graders.

Ruby - Cut her hair again! The hair in the front is now to her

chin. She is driving me crazy. Ruby does like school. 

She enjoys class and loves her friends. She just wants more

play dates after school. We'll see.

Milo - Started kindermusik this week and spent most of the

time playing on the stairs. Hopefully he will participate a 

little better as the year goes on. He doesn't seem to mind

having the other kids gone in the morning. He is going through

a phase where he likes to be a dog or a cat. It might be

cute it if wasn't annoying. He insists on crawling and won't

speak english. That makes it hard to walk to the school

to pick up Ruby or Jonah. Fingers crossed for a short phase.
