August 12 - August 14

John and the kids started off watching the sky in the evening,

and they stayed up late to watch a meteor shower.

Brent, Carla, Laura, Ella, and William

drove to Utah and we got to spend the

evening with them.

Alton takes naps in the strangest places.

I used a warm white color called Greek Villa.

It took probably 20 hours to do the trim and the walls

by myself. The paint was thin and I had to do two coats.

It's brightened up our rooms, so that's good. :)

Burley Adventurers - The Rest

To finish off our full day in Burley, we went to see The Minions.

It was Alton's first time watching a movie in a theater.

He liked the popcorn and running laps. He liked parts

of the movie, but kept trying to go into the theater next door.

I think Mission Impossible was playing there.

The rest of us enjoyed the show. It was cute.

On Saturday morning, Max and I ran to the high school,

then everyone went swimming at the hotel. I took this

picture from my parent's hotel room. It was a beautiful day.

We finished up our trip in Burley with a visit to King's,

another flashback to our childhood in Idaho. :)

Burley Adventurers Day Two - Boats!

For our afternoon entertainment, Mindy arranged for her

friends to take the kids out on their boat. It was the first time

the kids had been on a boat, and their first time on the Snake River.

Ruby and Milo started out a little nervous (screaming and crying),

and ended on the front of the boat, Titanic style.

They had a great time, and can't wait for more boat rides.

Burley Adventurers Day Two - Horses!

Mindy's coworker agreed to let the kids ride horses.

He and his father and daughter took the kids on multiple

lengthy rides around their property on horses and in a buggy.

Then the kids got to ride by themselves in the little

area next to the house. It was a great morning!
