Bentley's Birthday

Bentley turned 14 on the 8th of November.

He had lots of family in town, and he got to celebrate

for two days. On Saturday he modeled for a sock company

(free socks!), and got Hungry Howie's Pizza for dinner.

Then we went to the BYU Men's basketball game.

On Sunday, Pa ordained Bentley a teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood.

Warren and Greg were both there to stand in the circle.

Mindy was here earlier in the day for the Primary Program.

Jonah, Ruby, and Milo all did great on their parts!

After church, Grandma made crepes and we smothered

them with strawberries, whipped cream, and Nutella.

Pa and Grandma, and Warren and Becky and their family

left after lunch. Bentley chose Creamy Chicken and Rice Soup

for his birthday dinner, and he helped chop all the vegetables.

After dinner, Bentley finally got to open his presents.

He'd chosen a long-board and that was his "big" present.

We sang Happy Birthday to him and ate mint oreo

ice cream cake for dessert. I sure love this happy boy.

I'm glad he came to our family and I'm grateful

for his help and the good example he sets for his siblings.

Halloween Party!

Some friends invited us over for a Halloween Party after

trick-or-treating, and one by one our kids joined us.

There was good food, great company, 

and glow-in-the-dark goop. What more could you ask for?

Halloween Costumes

Halloween was kind of funny this year.

Jonah, Maxwell, and Ruby went trick-or-treating

with friends, and Bentley volunteered to hand out candy

(he went to a party late that night but was home early on).

John and I only took Alton and Milo trick-or-treating!

It was pretty easy to follow the two of them around,

but I kind of missed the older kids!

I snapped pictures of the kids in their costumes before

they headed out to their various activities.

I sure love these kids.

Pumpkins!

We carved pumpkins on Halloween Day.

This year we had help from the neighborhood cat, Stormy.

Bentley, Maxwell, and Jonah carved their own pumpkins.

Ruby and Milo designed theirs, and Ruby helped Alton

design his. I think they turned out pretty good. :)
