Kind of Not

The other night, Milo and Ruby got dressed up in some
of Jonah's old soccer uniforms and went outside to play
with John, Maxwell, and Jonah. I was doing dishes in the
kitchen when Milo came inside for something. I looked at his
soccer shirt, and asked if he was wearing shorts under it.
He kind of laughed at me, and said "Yes!"
"Are you sure?" I asked.
He lifted up his shirt to check, looked at me a little
sheepishly, and said, "Kind of not."
No shorts. Good thing it was a long shirt.

Spring Break Day 6 - The Mega-Birthday Party

Our last night in California we had a super birthday party -
Brent, Carla, Milo, David, and Alton all have birthdays
during the first two weeks of the month. Emily made some
yummy cupcakes and the kids got to open gifts.

After the party and some goodbyes, John, Brent, and Carla
worked on putting a new sewing desk together.

Spring Break Day 6 - Bentleys and Family

While looking at some of his favorite cars online,
Bentley realized that there was a Bentley dealership
down the road from Grandpa and Grandma's house.
The lucky guy got to check out some Bentleys!

Ruby and Ella got along for most of the visit -
on our last day in California Cleo let them dress up
with her things. What a great Aunt!

While the little girls played, the big girls watched "Austenland,"
and John entertained the other kids. Alton and William
played by the door and watched the chickens.

Alton also practiced falling down the stairs.
He did this over and over again - on purpose.
Because what could be more fun than falling down the stairs?

Spring Break Day 5 - Dinner and Milo's Birthday!

Day five of spring break happened to be Milo's birthday!
After the Battalion Museum and the beach, we went
to Hugh and Emily's place for dinner. Milo chose
Panda Express, and Emily even got him a cupcake
and a candle so we could really celebrate. :)
